Day 8, and the start of the “Release” phase is in the bag!
Today was a bit strange, as I felt overwhelming sadness this morning. There are likely a lot of factors at play here, including the season, but I re-read the information that came with the program and saw that during a cleanse it’s not uncommon to experience sudden emotions - both positive and negative. I got through it with my trusty Headspace meditation app, and some reading time for myself.
The food today was basic, but quite good. All in all it was a good day, and my energy level is still much higher than usual! I"ll take it.
What I Ate:
Breakfast: Fresh Fruit Plate (this tasted amazing...I think my tastebuds are changing!)
Lunch: Microgreen Salad with avocado, toasted pumpkin seeds and homemade creamy garlic dressing
Optional Snack: "Chocolate Covered Strawberry" Shake (Chocolate Vegan Shakeology + frozen berries + chia seeds + 1 cup water) DELICIOUS
Dinner: Steamed green beans and zucchini with brown rice and seasoned pinto beans
